Understanding the subsurface formation and wave reception effect. These include basin tectonics and rock deformation. Wave theory: principles, definitions, processing issues, noise, multiples, migration, statics, mis-ties. Sonic Density: T-Z curves, synthetic seismograms, VSPs. Types of Velocity: derivation, anomalies, pitfalls, depth conversion. Structural styles: extensional and salt technologies, compression and wrench tectonics. Depositional sequences: Seismic facies. Chrono-stratigraphy: geo-history. Amplitude and anomalies AVO. Complex trances: Trace attributes, sequence attributes, geometry. Model Building and visualisation, 3D interpretation, VR interpretation. Attribute analysis, DHIs.
